FOGG, of Samson Vale, met with a very severe accident at Strathpine on Wednesday last Mr. Fogg regularly carts the butter from the Samson Vale factory to Brisbane, and was on his way home. Having some business to attend to at the blacksmith's, he left his horses and waggon outside the shop. It appears something startled the horses, which caused them to bolt, and Mr. Fogg rushed out and managed to catch the reins, which were on the off side. Unfortunately, in pulling on the reins, Mr. Fogg got be tween a fence and the waggon, and sustained a heavy crushing. The sufferer was at once taken into Mr. Stevens's residence, and Dr Paul was immediately sent for. A respectable couple named John Fogg and Ann Kelly were to have been married at the residence of the bride groom's father on a Thursday- the day that had some time previously, been appointed. When the morning arrived, everything was ready but in place of being married on that morning, the parties were weeping for the loss of the bridegroom's father, who had been taken off a few hours before the marriage was to have taken place.
