Quite a gloom was cast over the town this morning by the sad news of the sudden death of Mrs Gilchrist, the wife of Mr James Gilchrist, who resides near Deborah. Death was caused by the after effects of confinement. The funeral takes place here tomorrow. Deep sympathy will be felt in Tiaro for Mr Gilchrist, Mrs Gilchrist, senr., Mr E. Gilchrist, Mrs Hope and other members of the family in their sad affliction.
