A COUNTRY WEDDING.
MOES-CURTIS.
A very pretty wedding took, place at Urraween, when Mary Jane, second eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Curtis, was joined in the holy bonds of matrimonv to Christian, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Neils Moes, of Urangan. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Aswel Apted. in the sitting room, under a very pretty wedding bell. The bride was given away by her father, and
was attended by her sister, Harriet, as bridesmaid. The bridegroom was attended by his brother (Fred), as best man. The bride's wedding dress was, a very pretty dress of cream Sicilian with a very handsome veil to match.
After the ceremony the guests adjourned to the verandah, where a very pretty wedding breakfast was laid ou, and the four tier wedding cake looked a real picture in the centre of the table. The health of the bride and bridegroom was proposed by the Rev. Aswel Apted, to which the bridegroom suitably responded, after which Mr. Fred Moes proposed the health of the bridesmaid. Then Mr. J. Petersen, in a dainty little speech, thanked the host and hostess for the day they were having, to which the host also responded. In the evening Mr. and Mrs. Curtis entertained a partv of young people with games and other amusements. The presents were numerous and costly, among them being a very pretty hanging lamp, presented to the bridegroom by the Nikenbah Cricket Club, as their token of esteem as a member. There were also a good number of cheques.
