Mr. Alfred Collard, a, well-known resident of Maleny, died on October 2. The late Mr. Collard was born at Bolwarra, near West Maitland, New South Wales, in 1863. After engaging in farming in that State in 1919, accompanied by his wife and family, he came to Queensland and took up a dairy farm in the Maleny district. For many years he was a member of the Maleny State School committee, and a member of the directorate of the Maleny Co-operative Dairv Association, Ltd. The late Mr. Collard is survived by five daughters, Mesdames A. G. Peacock (Morpeth), R. L. Cooke (Conondale), C. R. Frederiksen (Rous Mill), R. G. Walker (Maleny), and Miss W. M. Collard (Maleny), and three sons, Messrs. Stuart, William, and Alfred Collard, of Maleny.
