Mr. and Mrs. Thompson. Deborah, have been advised by Base Records that their son, Sergeant Griffith Thompson, has been reported wounded. Sergeant Thompson enlisted in 1915. He has been in France nearly two years and has seen much fighting, and was in the big drive nearly two years ago, when the Germans were driven back on the Somme.
His elder brother, Andrew, enlisted at the beginning of the war and went through the Gallipoli campaign, where he lost the sight in his right eye, and has been doing military police duty in Weymouth ever since.
