MR. JOHN CAMPBELL.
The death of Mr. John Campbell occurred suddenly at Woombye on Sunday last.
Mr. Campbell was born at Greenock (Scotland') on the 26th June 1867, and came to Australia at an early age. In 1888 he married Miss Mary Caroline Amelia Bundesen at Tiaro, near Maryborough. For some years he was farming at Isis Scrub, near Childers. Disposing of the property he took up residence in New South Wales, but later returned to Queensland, selecting land at Kingaroy, where he resided for 25 years. Selling out at Kingaroy he acquired a banana plantation in Buderim. In recent years he had been employed by the Maroochy Shire Council on maintenance work.
The late Mr. Campbell is survived by his widow at Maroochydore and an adopted daughter, Mrs. H. Woodhouse of Cooroy. A daughter, Mabel, died in New South Wales at the age of 24 years.
