St. Andrew's Church of England, Longreach, was the scene of a quiet wedding on Tuesday afternoon, when Alfred Charles, youngest son of Mr. James Kain, and the late Mrs. Kain, Augathella, was married to Violet, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. Jessen, Kingaroy. Rev. S. Ide officiated.
The bride entered the church on the arm of Mr. T. Lynn, who subsequently gave her away. She was frocked In white satin, featuring full length pleated Hollywood sleeves and raulo neck. The frock was moulded closely to the figure, the skirt falling to full length being inlet with godets of angelskln lace. The plain belt was finished with a diamante buckle. She wore an embroidered veil halo effect, which was held in place by a spray of lillies of the valley. She carried a bouquet of woodpulp roses and carnations and malden hair fern, tied with white satin and silver tinsel.
Miss Norma Schiekowski, who assisted as bridesmaid, wore a pink georgette frock, showing the faggotted neckline and shirring on the hem and sleeves. She wore a tulle veil halo style, and carried a. trailing bouquet of pink and lemon flowers, tied with pink and lemon ribbon.
Mr. W. Blundell (Brisbane) was best man.
The reception was held at Comino Bros.' cafe
