On Wednesday, January 25, the residence of Mr. and Mrs. J. J. W. The bride also wore a very old pair of amethyst ear rings, once worn by her grandmother, the late Mrs. P. Bargenquast. Her pretty bouquet was of frangipani and stephanotis.

Mrs. G. Todd, attended her sister as matron of honour, and Miss Frances Smith, the bridegroom's sister was bridesmaid. Their pretty frocks of pink floral windswept taffeta featured shirred bodices and puffed sleeves, and were finished with velvet sashes of pink and blue. Their tulle veils were held in place with topknots of camelias, and they carried bouquets of pink and blue hydrangea and asters. Little Neta Smith, as trainbearer, was daintily frocked in blue spotted net over satin, and she wore blue tulle on her hair and carried a blue posy.

Mr. Stanley Douglas supported the groom as best man, and Mr. Dudley Bargenquast was groomsman.

During the signing of the register, Mrs. A. French (Maryborough) sang "Because." After the ceremony little Daphne Wilson hung a white satin horseshoe over the bride's arm.

The reception was held in a spacious marque prettily decorated. The guests were received by the bride's mother, who was frocked in black silk cordalene relieved with mastic, and she wore a mastic hat to tone. Mrs. A. G. Smith wore floral, georgette relieved with a posy of cream flowers. Mr. Carlyon presided and the customary toasts were honoured.
