TWEED The death of Mrs. Elizabeth Jane Tweed, aged 64 years, occurred on Saturday afternoon at her residence, Torquay Terrace. She was a well-known and respected resident of Torquay. Mrs. Tweed was born at Gympie. Her first husband, Mr. Thomas Learoyd, predeceased her by many years. She is survived by five sons by her first marriage-Messrs. Thomas (Dagun, Mary Valley line), John (Murgon), George (Brisbane), Frederick (Gympie) and Walter (El Arish). She left her husband, Mr. William Tweed, with whom she has resided at Torquay for the past 17 years. There are also 13 grandchildren. The late Mrs. Tweed was en active member of the Pialba Methodist Church for many years and a willing worker in every social movement in the district. The funeral took place on Sunday afternoon from her late residence, Torquay, for the Nikenbah Cemetery. The arrangements were carried out by Messrs. Kirk and Son.
