      The Late Mrs. Mary Jane Bell

      The funeral of the late Mrs. Mary Jane Bell, widow of the late Mr. W.
      Hastings Bell, took place on Saturday morning, leaving her late residence,
      "Drumconda", Allen Crescent, for the Stawell Cemetery, after a service by
      the Rev. C. S. Petrie. The interment was in the family grave. A large
      number of relatives and friends attended to pay their last sad tributes to
      the deceased's memory. The coffin bearers were Messrs. M. Holden, Bernard
      Bell, C. Green, Gave Wright (relatives), J. Looby and H. Richards, and the
      pall bearers were Cr. G. T. Holden (brother), Messrs. T. J. Crossman, Ross
      Williams, P. Frencham, John Bennett, F. Bristow, H. Henderson, J. Giles.
      Amongst many beautiful floral tributes placed on the casket was a wreath
      from the ladies' auxiliary of the Stawell District Hospital. Rev. Petrie
      conducted the service at the graveside and Messrs. Fredk J. Crouch and Son
      had charge of the arrangements.
