DIAMOND WEDDING.
Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Pattemore celebrated their Diamond Wedding on May 29, at their residence, Fairview, Maleny. Mr. Patte- more, who was bom in Somerset, England, came to Australia with his parents at the age of 5, by the sailing ship. Glory Hannah, and settled at Ulladulla, N.S.W. In the year 1871 he married Miss E. C. Organ, of Wollongong, at Ulladulla, and lived there for a number of years, and later at Cen- tral Tilba, N.S.W., carrying on the occu- pation of dairying. In 1906 Mr. and Mrs. Pattemore and family came to reside In Maleny, where they have lived ever since, still following the dairying occupation. They are the parents of seven children (six of whom are still living); grand- parents of 39, and great grandparents of 31 children. Mr. and Mrs. Pattemore who are still hale and hearty, are aged 81 and 80 years. Mrs. Berry (Ballina), who was Mrs. Pattemore's bridesmaid, was present at the gathering. The wedding cake was made by Mrs. C. Bate (daughter), and Iced by Mrs. J. Watts (granddaughter).

MALENY. The oldest resident of Maleny Mr. J. R. Pattemore. of Fairview celebrated his 91st birthday last Sunday. Hs was born in Merriot. Somersetshire, and came to Aus-tralia with his parents when 5 years old in the sailing ship. Gloriana. The family settled at Shoalhaven. N.S.W. In 1907 Mr. Pattemore came to Maleny, where in 1908 he purchased a property, on which he began dairying and on which he lived ever since. members of the family attended lunch at his residence on Sunday, and a number of Mr. Pattemore's old friends were entertained at afternoon tea. They included Mr. J. Cork, who will be 90 next December; Mr. A.H.Cork, aged 80; and Mr. T. Porter, 66, all of Maleny. Mr. Pattemore has three sons - Messrs. H. S. (Maleny), R. W. (Brisbane), and E. Pattemore (Nambour) and three daughters - Mesdames Poole (Mooloolaba). Fitch (Nambour) and Forsyth (Maleny). 39 Grandchildren. 73 Great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. A sister Miss M. Pattemore who is 84. Is hale and hearty.

- FARMER LEAVES 145 DESCENDANTS
Mr. John Robert Pattemore. of Maleny, who has died aged 97, is survived by 145 direct descendants. There are six children, 34 grandchildren, 68 great grandchildren, iO great great grandchildren, and 7 great great great grandchildren. The late Mr. Pattemore came to Australia 90 years ago in the sailing ship Glorianna, a journey which took five and a half months. He settled in Ulladulla, on the south coast of New South Wales, and came to Queensland In 1907 and established a dairy farm at Maleny.
