SPERBER-HOLD. A pretty wedding took place at Pomonal on Wednesday of last week, when Private Albert Sperber, youngest son of the late Mr A. Sperber, of Melbourne was married to Miss Annie Eva Hold, eldest daughter of Mr W. Hold, of "Lilydale" Orchard, Pomonal. The ceremony, which took place at "Lilydale" was performed by the Rev. C. M. Lowe, vicar of Holy Trinity, Stawell. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a becoming gown of white embroidered muslin, and wore a bridal veil, loaned for the occasion by Mrs Milne, of Pomonal, fastened with a ruby dagger, and sur mounted by a wreath of real orange blossom. She carried a choice bouquet of Arum lilies, ansonias and asparagus fern, the handiwork of Mr T. E. Morcom. Miss E. Hold (sister of the bride) was the bridesmaid, and she was attired in pink flowered voile, trimmed with pink crepe de chine, and she carried a posy of pink roses. Mr E. Bolton, of Pomonal, acted as best man. A wedding breakfast was afterwards held in the diningroom, which was prettily decorated for the occasion, and at which the toast of the bridegroom was honored, at the instance of the Rev. C. M. Lowe. The young couple subsequently left for Melbourne, with the best wishes of the residents.
