The death took place in the Maleny Hospital on Monday last as the result of pnuemonia of Mr. Ehrenfriede Hugo Oehmichen, a wellknown dairyman and farmer of the Witta district, at the age of 77 years. Deceased was a native of Germany, and came to Australia when 23 years of age. He engaged in farming in New South Wales, and after marrying Miss Elizabeth Brumm in Brisbane, took up land in the Witta district 37 years ago. The late Mr. Oehmichen is survived by his wife and three daughtets Mrs. Albert Gentner (Brisbane), Mrs. T. Mitchell (Sandgate), and Miss Thelma Oehmichen (Witta). The fun eral, which was largely attended, moved to' the Witta cemetery on Tuesday last. Pastor Schubert (Luth eran Church) officiated at the grave side.
