Odense Fjord is a 13 km long fjord on the northern part of the Danish island of Funen.
It covers an area of about 63 km
The landscape.
Odense Fjord is a shallow inlet area with many small islands. For the majority of the water area, water depth is less than 2 meters, approx. 1/10 of the area has a depth of more than 4 meters, and only in navigation channels where water depths up to 10 meters.
The surrounding coastal areas appears mainly low-lying flat areas with relatively many salt marshes and large reclaimed land. From more recent times, the estate Hofmansgave particularly left its mark on the landscape, including by the large reclaimed areas on the northwest side of the inlet.
